Like many of you Dawls, we sat down Monday night to watch the 2016 Grammy Awards. We were completely amped up by Kendrick Lamar’s powerful production of speedy rap lyrics and went through an emotional rollercoaster with Adele’s simple yet touching performance of “All I Ask”. While music is what rules the night at every Grammy Awards show, there is no ignoring the dazzling and sometimes eyebrow raising fashion choices of the many artists and starlets who graced the red carpet and the stage. Here are our top five favorite looks from the 2016 Grammy Awards show.
While Adele’s black Givenchy gown on the red carpet was one to admire- we love when artists stray away from the comfort zone of ‘all black’. So when she appeared on stage with another Givenchy gown- this time in a beautiful deep red- we were absolutely stunned! She sparkled in all her Adele elegance and beauty with the alluringly detailed gown, accessorized with simple drop earrings and hair pinned back. She is our all time favorite this year!
2. Taylor Swift
Who doesn’t love this country star turned pop princess? Taylor Swift never disappoints with her outfit choices, and the Grammy Awards was no exception. She ditched the gown and instead opted for a Atelier Versace color blocked bandeau and high waisted hot pink skirt with an appropriately placed slit. She accessorized with a diamond choker and a short new bob with blunt bangs.
3. Chrissy Teigen
Chrissy Teigen was absolutely glowing in this white gown by Yousef Al-Jasmi. The supermodel’s growing baby bump was accentuated by the dress and a floor length jewel cape flowed behind her wherever she walked. She accessorized with a white clutch and jewelry by Lorraince Schwartz and Ofira.
4. Kaley Cuoco
The Big Bang Theory comedian and actress showed no fear at the Grammy Awards show by wearing a sequined jumpsuit by Naeem Khan. The jumpsuit featured a midriff cutout that showed off her abs and a plunging neckline. We loved this look because she not only looks amazing but comfortable at the same time! She accessorized with a clutch by Rauwolf and rings by H. Stern.
5. Serayah McNeill
Empire actress Serayah finishes off our list in a Vera Wang Collection shoulder draped gown. With cutouts and a leg slit, this dress accentuates all her best features and had her looking sexy and elegant all at the same time. While Serayah’s smile is her best accessory, she added a clutch by Oroton and jewelry by a variety of designers like Pamela Love and Sylva & Cie.
